Accessibility standard

We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA.

This wording should remain “working towards” until the completed website has undergone appropriate accessibility testing.

Measures we are taking

We aim to support accessibility by:

  • Using clear and logical heading structures

  • Maintaining appropriate colour contrast

  • Using readable text sizes

  • Providing meaningful wording for links and buttons

  • Providing text alternatives for meaningful images

  • Avoiding information communicated through colour alone

  • Using live website text rather than text embedded in images wherever practical

  • Designing layouts that adapt to different screen sizes

  • Reviewing keyboard navigation

  • Keeping diagrams and process graphics understandable

  • Using clear and direct language

  • Reviewing forms, labels and error messages

  • Checking interactive elements such as accordions and cookie controls

Known accessibility limitations

We are continuing to review the website and may not yet have identified every accessibility issue.

Areas being checked include:

  • Text size in cards and supporting content

  • Colour contrast on pale-blue buttons and backgrounds

  • Alternative text for icons, diagrams and logos

  • Keyboard access to accordions and forms

  • Visible keyboard-focus states

  • Heading order

  • Form labels and error messages

  • Cookie-banner keyboard operation

  • Mobile presentation of numbered journeys

  • Text embedded within graphics

  • HubSpot form accessibility

  • Accessibility of downloadable documents

As issues are identified, we will assess and address them according to their impact and the work required.

Third-party services

Some parts of the website may rely on third-party services, including:

  • Squarespace

  • HubSpot forms

  • Cookie-consent tools

  • Externally hosted documents or resources

We aim to configure these services accessibly, but some aspects may be controlled by the relevant provider.
